Haiku

Love Haiku

This haiku is based on the Haiku by Paul Callus. It is an adorable writing. I really enjoy reading it. The author Paul says so much with few words. After reading this Haiku, I started to tell the magic of the Haiku which is small but strong. I used some raining footage to present the image in my mind when reading this Haiku.

Waterlily

Waterlily is an original Haiku written by me. The story is based on my own story. The story begins with the main character being pushed into the water. In the beginning, she feels suffocated, so she desperately tries to get out of the water which symbolizes an unfamiliar environment. I chose water as the filming location because being underwater is similar to how I felt during my first year of study abroad. I felt suffocated and lost, and I did not know where I was or who I was. However, it was still a very lucky and beautiful memory in my mind. I believe a lot of international students or even local students when you first begin something new in a brand new environment are having similar experiences as mine. I hope this Haiku can tell a story everyone can interpret in their own ways based on their own experience.

City Cars

This video is based on the Haiku by Helen O’Connor. This Haiku is related to cars in the city. By reading this Haiku, it seems like we can hear the noise of traffic. So in the video, I cut all the audio in the footage. I believe the audience can still feel the sound of traffic when they watch the videos.
